SEASON FINALE – In the Batwoman season finale, Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie) questions her place as the city’s hero as she, Luke Fox (Camrus Johnson), Mary Hamilton (Nicole Kang) and Sophie Moore (Meagan Tandy) must join forces when Black Mask (guest star Peter Outerbridge) instigates chaos in the Gotham streets. Meanwhile, Alice’s attempt to rescue her sister means another encounter with Circe (guest star Wallis Day). In an epic standoff, unexpected alliances and transformations will upend Gotham as we know it. Holly Dale directed the episode written by Caroline Dries (#218). Original airdate 6/27/21.

As superhero films continue to dominate the box office, theater-goers rarely if ever see a character from the LGBTQIA+ community up on the big screen — an odd reality in a genre with a seemingly unlimited imagination. However, in television, The CW’s DC Comics-inspired series have been light years ahead in representing queer and trans superheroes, garnering a huge and vocal fan base in the process. The talent and creators from some of these trailblazing works discuss their landmark roles, and the impact they have on their fans.


The CW issued a press release yesterday, detailing their fall line-up and announcing that Batwoman has been moved to Wednesdays! Following season two’s conclusion in June, season three is expected to begin airing in October.

THE CW NETWORK ANNOUNCES ITS NEW SEVEN-NIGHT PRIMETIME SCHEDULE FOR 2021-2022

May 25, 2021 (Burbank, CA) – The CW Network will officially launch its new seven-night 2021-22 primetime schedule in Fall of 2021 with a strategic mix of new and returning original scripted series and alternative programming, it was announced today by Mark Pedowitz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The CW Network. The CW’s 2021-22 network image campaign and new season highlight trailer features the newly released single “Higher Power” from the legendary band Coldplay.

TV’s motley crew of superheroes return for a seventh season of DC’S LEGENDS OF TOMORROW on Wednesdays (8:00-9:00pm ET/PT), followed by the third season of BATWOMAN (9:00-10:00pm ET/PT).

Arrowverse 2021 Poster

Flickering Myth reports…

The CW has released a new poster showcasing the stars of the Arrowverse, bringing together Black Lightning’s Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams), The Flash’s Barry Allen (Grant Gustin), Stargirl’s Courtney Whitemore (Brec Bassinger), DC’s Legends of Tomorrow Sara Lance (Caity Lotz), Superman & Lois’ Clark Kent (Tyler Hoechlin), Batwoman’s Ryan Wilder (Javicia Leslie), and Supergirl’s Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist).

Black Lightning and Supergirl are currently in the midst of their final seasons, while The Flash, DC’s Legends of Tomorrow and Batwoman are joined on The CW’s current weekly schedule by the new spinoff Superman & Lois. Season two of Stargirl is set to premiere on August 10th as a CW exclusive, and was also recently renewed for a third season.

I’ll Give You a Clue – When Sophie (Meagan Tandy) must face a foe from her rookie days with The Crows, Ryan (Javicia Leslie), Mary (Nicole Kang) and Luke (Camrus Johnson) are also pulled into the villain’s game. Meanwhile, the tables turn on Alice (Rachel Skarsten) when she finds herself in dire circumstances, and Jacob (Dougray Scott) continues to revisit the past.
